JOURNEY OF SUCCESS VIA THE PATH OF 6P’s

The definition of success varies from person to person. The student, businessman, politician, academician, etc has to face the competition of life on a day to day basis and everybody strives hard to achieve success in this competitive world. Phases of life, sectors of competition or patterns of examination may differ, but what remains common is the unique formula for success i.e. ‘6 P path for success’. The clarity of Purpose, Positive attitude, proper Planning and Practice, Perseverance, Politeness and Public cause for success- encompasses the ‘6-Ps’ of success in life.

Purpose-     The ‘first P for success’ is related to ‘Purpose’. The clarity of purpose determines the quantity and quality of success to be achieved in future.  Correct fixation on ‘purpose’ helps to concentrate your energies on the aim, so as to achieve it in the shortest possible time and with the highest impact.

Positive Attitude- The ‘second P for success’ is ‘Positive attitude’. The world-renown military strategist and philosopher Sun Tzu has mentioned in ‘Art of War’ –‘battles are won or lost before they are being exactly fought on the battleground as they are won or lost in the mind itself.’ Your attitude decides the altitude of success to be achieved.  A long-distance marathon runner can never win a race, if right at the start of the race, he thinks pessimistically about the long distance to be completed within such a short span of time. Every person may perceive different types of obstacles in his journey towards achieving the final aim, but through positive attitude only, he can tackle these obstacles in the journey towards success. The famous author and philosopher Paulo Coelho has also mentioned in his famous book ‘The Alchemist’, “when you want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

Proper Planning & Practice –   Success never happens accidently but it requires a systematic approach to conquer it. With the positive attitude in mind, the ‘third P for success’ is ‘Proper Planning & Practice’. Rather than the casual approach and haphazard of executing the tasks, a proper planning for achieving the goals in life with effective execution decides the quantum of success. There is no short cut and alternative to the hard work. As a competitive exams aspirant, you should ensure that you are practicing the mock tests or mock interviews regularly, so that on ‘D day’ of your exams, you can give your best efforts so as to emerge as the real winner. Whenever you feel tired or distracted in this journey of success, just think about your real purpose behind your competitive exams preparation and it will automatically boost your moral for extra practice required for the same.

Perseverance –    The ‘fourth P for success’ is ‘perseverance’. Even if you don’t get success in your first attempt, you should introspect yourself for correcting the mistakes and with a new vigour, you must continue your efforts till you achieve your final goal. The most successful people in the world could achieve the peak of their success because they believed in themselves and consistently focused their energies towards achieving their aim.

Politeness –      Through the journey of ‘Purpose, Positive attitude, Practice and Perseverance’ , one would achieve the success in their respective fields, but so as to make it long lasting, the fifth ‘P’ for success is the most important one and that is- ‘Politeness’. Getting selected as an officer through competitive exams is not the end in itself and is just the means to achieve the larger aim of contributing to the society with a sense of humility.

Public cause –   Success is a momentary incident and the real purpose of success should not be the self aggrandisement but sharing the fruits of success with others. Involving others and sharing your success with the society would make it long lasting. The momentary feeling of success can become permanent if you work for others, share your success with society or dedicate your entire success towards the cause for nation.

Today’s world is full of competition and everybody works their level best to achieve the success in life. Few individuals get lured by the short cut methods of getting rich whereas the smart ones’ strive hard for success through the unique path of ‘6 P’s’. It’s not always the destiny which matters but the way of attaining it decides the longevity of success. So believe in yourself and –

‘ Arise! Awake! And stop not until the goal is reached…’
